Affiliate Disclosure
We believe in being upfront about how this website makes money. This page explains our affiliate relationships, how they work, and — most importantly — what they do and do not affect when it comes to the content we publish.
Plain English version: Crypto Dude earns commissions when you click certain links and take an action on a third-party platform. This costs you nothing extra. It does not change what we write. Every word of our editorial content is based on research — not on who is paying us.
01 What Is Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a common and legal arrangement where a website earns a commission from a company when it refers a visitor who completes an action — usually signing up, making a purchase, or reaching a certain activity threshold. The commission is paid by the company, not charged to you. You pay exactly the same whether you click through from our site or go directly to the platform.
02 Our Affiliate Relationships
Crypto Dude participates in affiliate programs across the crypto industry. We may have affiliate arrangements with platforms in categories including:
- Centralized and decentralized exchanges
- Hardware and software wallet providers
- Crypto payment gateways and card providers
- Staking, yield, and DeFi platforms
- Tax and portfolio tracking tools
- Mining and cloud mining services
- NFT marketplaces and analytics tools
- Data, analytics, and developer infrastructure platforms
We also work directly with some platforms on individual affiliate arrangements. These are disclosed through this page and through contextual disclosures near affiliate links on relevant content pages.
03 How Affiliate Links Work on This Site
04 What Our Affiliate Relationships Do Not Affect
- Guarantee that platform a positive review
- Prevent us from publishing negative or critical information about it
- Give the platform any input into what we write
- Influence how we rank or compare platforms relative to their competitors
- Change the accuracy standards we apply to a listing
We have written critical content about platforms we earn commissions from. We have also declined affiliate arrangements from platforms that did not meet our standards. Commission does not buy editorial favor here.
05 Sponsored Listings and Sponsored Content
Separate from affiliate commissions, some platforms pay for a sponsored placement in our directory or for a sponsored content article. These are clearly labeled — "Sponsored" means a platform paid for that placement. It does not mean we endorse the platform.
06 FTC Compliance
This disclosure complies with the United States Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). Full details are in our FTC Disclosure Policy.
07 Changes to Our Affiliate Relationships
Our affiliate partnerships change over time. If you have a specific question about whether we have an affiliate relationship with a particular platform, contact us at cryptodudeoffcial@gmail.com.
