Editorial Standards – Crypto Dude
Crypto Dude editorial standards — how we research and publish

If you are going to use information from this website to compare platforms or evaluate options, you deserve to know how that information was produced. This page explains our research process, how listings are selected, and what editorial independence actually means in practice here.

We are not claiming perfection. Crypto moves fast and some information on this site will be outdated at times. What we can say is that we follow a consistent process and we do not let commercial relationships drive editorial outcomes.

01 Our Editorial Mission

Crypto Dude exists to give people accurate, organized, and useful information about crypto platforms. Every editorial decision we make is measured against whether it serves that purpose — not whether it serves an advertiser, an affiliate partner, or anyone else with money in the equation.

02 How Listings Are Selected

We do not list every crypto platform that exists. Our selection criteria require that a platform is active and verifiable, has a publicly accessible website with enough information to review, and is relevant to our directory categories. Platforms with consistent, credible signals of fraud or significant user harm are not listed regardless of any commercial interest. Paid sponsored listings still go through this selection process. A platform cannot buy its way past our standards.

03 Our Verification Process

1
Direct Outreach We contact the platform directly and allow up to one week for a response. This gives them a chance to provide accurate information about their service.
2
Official Documentation Review We review their official website, terms of service, fee schedules, and published documentation. If they did not respond, this becomes the primary source.
3
Third-Party Cross-Check We run the platform through Scamadviser, Trustpilot, Google search, and social media to check for red flags and user complaint patterns.
4
Internal Review A team member reviews the compiled information before publication. We note which details came from the platform directly versus third-party sources.
5
Publication with Verification Date Published listings include a date indicating when information was last verified so you can judge how current the data is.

04 Editorial Independence

  • Advertisers do not get to review or approve content before it is published
  • Affiliate partners cannot request changes to how their platform is described
  • Sponsored listing payments cover directory visibility only — not editorial tone
  • We can and do publish critical content about platforms we earn money from
  • Platforms without any commercial relationship with us receive the same research effort as those that do

If an advertiser or affiliate partner has ever pressured us to change editorial content, we declined. We would rather lose the commercial relationship than compromise what we publish.

05 Our Core Editorial Principles

Accuracy First We verify before we publish. When something cannot be verified independently, we say so in the content.
No Fabricated Reviews We do not publish fake user reviews or manufactured testimonials. Every opinion expressed is based on actual research.
Conflict Disclosure Authors disclose personal holdings in platforms they write about. Commercial relationships are disclosed through our Affiliate Disclosure and FTC policy pages.
No Financial Advice We describe platforms. We do not tell people what to do with their money. That line is never crossed in our content.
Corrections Welcomed We fix confirmed errors. See our Corrections page for exactly how that works.
Sponsored Content Labeled Anything paid for by an advertiser is labeled clearly before the content begins. Always — no exceptions.

06 Limitations We Acknowledge

  • Crypto platform information changes fast — some listings will be outdated between update cycles
  • We cannot verify every claim a platform makes about itself
  • We do not have access to backend systems of any listed platform
  • Our team are not licensed financial or legal professionals
  • A listing on Crypto Dude does not mean a platform is safe, regulated, or recommended

Always verify current information directly with any platform before using it. Our directory is a starting point — not a replacement for your own research.

07 Feedback on Our Editorial Work

If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, misleading, or missing important context, contact us at cryptodudeoffcial@gmail.com with the specific page URL and details of your concern. We take substantive feedback seriously.
